NAJMAH and WFP sign an agreement

The National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition "Najmah" and the World Food Programme signed at the headquarters of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development in Amman today an agreement to complete the cash-for-training project for areas affected by the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan.

The agreement aims to reach 1,470 beneficiaries in the communities hosting Syrian refugees in six governorates in the Kingdom, with the aim of providing them with expertise by training them in various professions that are compatible with the requirements and needs of the labor market.

The agreement was signed by the Vice-President of the National Alliance to Combat Hunger and Malnutrition Ali Al-Ghazawi and the Country Director of the World Food Program in Jordan, Abdul Majeed Yahya, in the presence of HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, chairperson of the Alliance and members of its board of directors.

According to the agreement, the World Food Programme provides daily food cards to the trainees for each day during the training period, at a rate of 26 days per month, during the project period, which lasts for nine months.
